Salsa Info
Join us for a sizzling Salsa experience – and we now have 3 days a week to give you more options!
If you want something new, exciting and life changing, then this is it!
Although the Covid-19 restrictions have limited our numbers of students in each class, we will have classes for you in a fantastic full schedule every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Our super Salsa classes in Southampton are Covid-secure, where your safety is our priority (see our Covid Measures for full details).
Feedback was wonderful when we were able to open from September 2020 and we are really looking forward to seeing you again.
Whether you are a solo dancer or you have a partner, we have something for everyone, at every level. Please note that partner dancing can only be for those from the same household or support bubble. Sadly, this means social dancing is not possible yet.
The timetable may evolve, so please do check back to see if there is something you would like on offer.
Absolute Beginners:
Our next Salsa course will start sometime in June depending on Government guidelines. Please click here to contact Gareth if you wish to be on the ‘reserve’ list for the next course, specifying if you are a solo dancer or if you have a partner to dance with.
If you are taking your first steps with us, or think you have 2 left feet, then fear not. We assume you know nothing, but will get you dancing in no time with the right foot as well!
You can learn to dance for fun, for your health, for confidence, for happiness – whatever your reason, it will tick all the boxes and more. We currently have 4-week Salsa courses for beginners and our expert teachers will guide you through the basics slowly with our structured syllabus, while having lots of fun over the 4 weeks.
Improvers to Advanced:
We have many other solo and partnerwork classes at different levels for you to choose from (please see the timetable).
NEW for Ladies:
A special styling class for ladies with Elaine for levels 3/4/5. This class is at 8.45 on Fridays.
No Partner?
As well as the solo classes on offer, you can still attend some partnerwork classes and learn your role in the moves. We have had solo dancers in adjacent dance pods ‘lead & follow’ from a distance which has been great fun. In the booking system you need to select a SOLO ticket for a partnerwork class. NOTE: the relevant ticket will say it is a group ticket for 2 so that it automatically takes up a couple’s dance pod, so that we can’t oversell the spaces. Please put my details as the 2nd attendee (as instructed).
Currently, as Level 2 partnerwork is concurrent with the Beginners’ course, places are limited in the pod format, so we are prioritising couples for both these classes.
